A statement on behalf of Calvert Green Parish Council.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty the Queen. She has gracefully and dutifully served for 70 years and was held in great affection and respect by her country.
It is particularly sad that her death comes during her Platinum Jubilee year when the country has been celebrating her long reign.

We send our deep condolences to the Royal Family on behalf of the residents of Calvert Green.

As a mark of respect, and sorrow, we will arrange for flags to be removed from lamp posts and will arrange for a Book of Condolence to be available.
